1998 was a year that gave life back to the upper East annex and a good portion of that was due to the Antique Show but also a revitalized wine bar designed and built by Robert Macfie. It incorporated a barrel bar serving draught and a good selection of wine as well as Rodney's Oysters with an on site "shucker" and a menu comparable to any of the finest wine bars in the city featuring sushi and Gourmet Cuisine's famous crab cakes. The whole atmosphere was one of fine intimate fun, which was just what the Royal was looking for.
